SCROLL TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ME
FROM A YOUNG AGE I KNEW I WANTED TO BUILD SOMETHING GREAT…
I would spend my days as a child building sandcastles and playing with building blocks, obsessing for hours over a house of cards, careful not to knock it down. I spent most of my afternoons experimenting with modeling clay and building forts out of branches in the backyard.
In the 8th grade, my family moved to St. Augustine. It was late in the year, but I managed to enroll in a graphic design class, creating enough work to show in the portfolio review later that year. From there, I took design classes in high school, familiarizing myself with the programs and expanding my knowledge of design elements.
In the 12th grade of high school, I had few ambitions past graduation. I had no plans to attend college and no career opportunities with no funding for college enrollment. Despite this, my mother convinced me to apply to Flagler College, where they deemed my performance worthy of scholarships, allowing me to afford an education.
I knew when attending Flagler College that I wanted to study graphic design, it was one of the only things I enjoyed doing in school and I found myself more than capable of using a computer. I found in my education at Flagler College a discipline of design that was focused more on theory and process, something I lacked in my earlier education. I learned more than I thought was available, exploring motion graphics, language, and communication while finding solace in the traditional artistic practices of painting and sculpture.
IF THERE WAS ANY ONE THING I LEARNED, IT WAS THAT I HAD BARELY SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF WHAT WAS POSSIBLE…
My education at Flagler College has been multidisciplinary, including influences from a variety of mediums while providing me with the framework to design and create in a structured and efficient manner. I have learned that in a thousand lifetimes I will not learn all I wish to know, but that I will spend this lifetime acquiring all I can know.
I enjoy using Adobe After Effects to add a new dimension to my work, building animated logos or creating compelling visuals for my projects.
I find logo design and branding to be something I am good at. I enjoy creating visual concepts and layouts for both real and fictional brands, adding another level of
Though I’m still learning, I thoroughly enjoy the web design process. With a little bit of practice, I am slowly understanding the workflow and structure to build exciting and functional websites.
